i've thought about this for a few days and i keep coming back to guts man. he's just a big dude who's super strong and he throws shit. brutalism in robot master form.

they aren't all games i've played (mostly watched), but there are plenty i like that came out recently. deltarune is an obvious hit. void stranger. rubato. voices of the void. ufo 50. it's hard to pick a favorite; rubato doesn't quite clear that bar, but maybe void stranger or ufo 50 does.

Tetris is the obvious choice (though which is harder, there's too many). For a slightly deeper cut, Thexder. I had the DOS port growing up, though I never actually got anywhere in it.

purely as someone unaffiliated with any teams (sans the VGK), yes. it means that for the most part sports are just fun games where i don't care about who wins as much as the game being fun to watch.

i don't watch them very often, because i don't have cable and modern cable advertising is atrocious, but occasionally i'll tune into a bootleg stream of the Knights or the like. but sports are genuinely pretty fun to follow if you aren't at all invested in the outcome.

my favorite sport to watch is probably curling, though. i fell in love with it back in '08 during the winter olympics.

there's probably some deep mythology books that would cover it, but i wouldn't know more.

i haven't really thought about oc "ancestors" ... i spent a bit thinking about it a few weeks ago, like "the early ages/life of this OC", but it's mostly empty. (plus, accounting for all the other forms...)

i grew up with doom95's source port of doom 2, so that one stuck with me. lots of nomonsters exploration.

i have never used plex, so i wouldn't know what to do with it.

i enjoy pinball, though i haven't gotten to play a real table in a hot minute. would love to plunk a quarter into meteor again.
