So you're not a big fan of The Amazing Digital Circus then? Or just haven't had the time to see it yet?
I never saw anything of it that compelled me to watch it. Nobody really talked about what it was or what it was going for, and "quirky 3D CGI that looks like the mid late 90s/early 00s" isn't an instant-hook for me.
I had started to get a little interested in it, because our roommates enjoyed it and were going to see the ending, but I didn't have the time (or energy) to catch up on it. Once the ending got put on YouTube and people could not shut up about specific parts of the ending, it was... well.
There's a NES game I like, Faria. I got real big on it back in '07/'08. Kinda like bizarro world Zelda 2. As I'm playing it, a friend casually drops: "Oh yeah, I remember that game. About halfway through it, (plot point) happens." ... I was about 80% of the game, and that plot point had not happened. It turns out it happens just before you go to the definitely final dungeon, and is a huge spoiler/twist. Learning this completely took the wind out of my sails to finish the game. I still did, eventually, but simply knowing "oh yeah, this is how it ends" takes a lot of the drive to finish a story out.
I'd still like to see it, eventually, but now I've transitioned into the "I'm going to wait for the hype to die down a little, and maybe for myself to forget most of The Discourse".
