I envy your sexy brain tbh, I just want you to know that.
I hope in my next life, I can write stories as amazing as you.
It's so frustrating that I can't even come up with perfect words to describe ZiYu's beautiful face in a single sentence T.T
Mind sharing how did you start writing stories?
Uhhh, you can do it 🫶🫡 Just keep writing. You can even practice with pictures—try describing them and searching for new words online. I actually use this site all the time when I’m writing called WordHippo. It’s a thesaurus, and it really helps expand your vocabulary. Just keep trying until you can make it🫡
I was a reader at heart first. This was way back in 2015, when ebooks started becoming popular and I discovered Wattpad. Then, when I was in 7th grade, I met someone who had the same interests as me—she read on Wattpad too. We actually became best friends.
So, going back to how I became a writer: of course, I got inspired by the stories I was reading. Back then, I only read straight romance stories, but when I discovered BL, I never went back lol.
I tried writing on Wattpad too. If I remember correctly, my first story was about a spy and an assassin. I actually had a few drafts written already, and I let my best friend read them. Honestly, I got hurt because she made fun of my writing right in front of me. She laughed so hard too, and mind you, we were at school when it happened. As a best friend, and me being a novice writer at the time, I expected she would support me or at least give constructive feedback, but instead she just laughed at me. I was so embarrassed 😅
In the end, I deleted the whole story. Since she already knew my username, I made a new account and started writing another story there instead. The theme was escape room-related, but I never got to finish it because my phone broke, and I eventually lost access to that account too.
I only discovered AO3 around 2020. I actually found it through Wattpad because someone posted a link, so I got curious. That’s when I started reading fanfics there, and eventually it became my most-used reading site. I still read on Wattpad sometimes, but not as much anymore.
And I’ve only recently gotten back into writing again, though I did have a few stories on Wattpad before. I won’t name them anymore because I unpublished them too before AO3 completely swallowed me whole lol.
So yeah… this turned into my whole life story already 😭
So all I can say, writing is both a journey and a process—it’s never a race or a competition. Every writer grows at their own pace, through trial and error, unfinished drafts, moments of doubt, and small victories that slowly build confidence over time. So don’t be discouraged if your progress feels slow. The words will come, the improvement will come, and one day you’ll look back and realize how far you’ve grown from where you started. What matters most is that you keep writing, keep learning, and keep believing in your own stories.
