Okay then, Ash is a record store clerk in addition to a murder junky. What do they recommend me listen to if I go in? If I ask for the new Depeche mode album to they say it sucks?
I imagine Ash is a prog rock person, so you're going to get recommended some King Crimson and Gentle Giant. They need to keep their front, so they're likely not going to be up front about saying your music taste sucks (they will be thinking it though)
