Hmm, let's see. 🤔

• RoboCop - This one has to be number 1 because it became a bit of my identity for a bit to be The RoboCop Guy. Probably one of the best blends of action, horror, and comedy you'll see in a movie (Starship Trooper may be a bit more on the extreme of this, but I felt that RoboCop was a more interesting overall movie)
• Heat - If you asked me what one of my favorite aesthetics in film is, it's Michael Mann. Heat's such an incredible piece of film that it is one of the few 2.5 hour long movies I can think of that feels like it actually is worth the run time.
• A Scanner Darkly - I love rotoscoping and I love Phillip K. Dick so Richard Linklater combining both into A Scanner Darkly turns it into probably one of my favorite adaptations of a Phillip K. Dick story.
• Killer Klowns from Outer Space - Sometimes I just like a good dumb fun movie and Killer Klowns from Outer Space is exactly what your brain fills in when you hear the term "Killer Klowns from Outer Space"
• Contact - There's something very poignant about Contact that even though I'll full admit this is a slow burn movie, I think it warrants it completely. Jodie Foster's acting just makes the main character so good that it's hard not to like her even though the other character maybe are not as enjoyable.
