BUNNY!!! JISTARS ORIGIN STORY!!!! you always have the most introspective questions let me ponder back. i may have talked about this before but i forgot but the name star comes from a quote in the waves by Virigina Woolf because it's my favorite book and it made me think about a, literal, star personified and as something cute a whimisical and also devestatingly potent the quote is "“There was a star riding through clouds one night, & I said to the star, 'Consume me'.” and i thought if i was ever a star i would want to be this one and then decided that. then for JISTARS i just like my stuff in all caps sue me but the ji obviously from jisung and then star from that name and then i put them together because it kinda sounded like joestar from jjba and it made me laugh so i did that!!!

for fics that made me want to write in this fandom it's actually funny you asked because in the earlier months of 2024 i started to document my favorite fic writers and more or less start looking at them on twitter daily to stay up to date and i was like what?? this is so cool? all my favorite fic writers know each other?? and are friends??? it was like a giant cross over episode and it blew my mind and i thought Wow this is community. i actually just looked at a note page in my phone and laughed out loud, because it's like take a shot for every author on here that is now my friend and it's just so cute. i remember specifically i really liked angel leebitcore and cloudrages and bowlcuthanz and then this little story i distinctly remember reading on my ipad after freshly graduating high school that was for the juglar. and just after that i was like wow this is really cool i can keep up with authors on twitter.

in that same vein i discovered socmeds. i remember actually reading lai's and lunas socmeds VERY distinctly, which again makes me smile thinking back on it, so i would deadass refresh their twitter pages every day waiting for an update. and i just thought they were so funny and creative and i wanted to make one. i was also ruthlessly pummelled with dms on instagram from bots so i thought that idea would be funny.

in a twisted way, i always wrote my socmed with the intention of writing the fic prequel. i was really scared of breaking into the community, so i figured softlaunching my writing entrance with my socmed genuinely just coming out of left field was a good idea. i could have maybe gone a more traditional route, but i dont regret my decision because it led me here.

ive been reading, and reading fanfiction for a longggggg time, but i never thought i could write and was just sorta bewitched by the whole process. but i sat down one day during a break from school after a series of events in my life made me more confident about my abilities to write, and just tried it with a fic that will never see the light and was addicted, i think i wrote like 5k words in one sitting. it was super fun. but i lost that and didn't pick up writing again until the summer. and YEAH!

im really grateful that all my oomfs sorta found me and took me under their wing in the early stages, it was really encouraging. kay aka @quokkarizz was also really encouraging and helped me MAJOR and i mean MAJORLY with my writing and grammar because i knew NOTHING about fiction writing, like it was laughable, like i didn't even know i needed punctation in quotation marks laughable. so that was also like, lifechanging, advice. and YEAH. i look back really fondly to my start because i believe i had all these secret supporters who i know consider my friends helping me along the way. and it's just funny to see how fate falls into line.
