I've wanted to say your music has helped me get through some really tough days and set the day track to some really good times with friends.
Are there any video game sound tracks in recent memory that you listen too?
Thank you! Here are some of my favorites video games soundtracks off the top of my head. Some of these aren't in "recent" memory, but instead long time faves.
Black Mesa Xen by Joel Nielsen
A Plumber for All Seasons OST (this is a Super Mario World romhack with an excellent original soundtrack)
Paradise Killer by Barry "Epoch" Topping
Quake III: Arena Noize by Sonic Mayhem
Less of an ask but more of a wanted to say. I've always admired your works but have been too shy to say it. It doesn't help the artist if people don't say they like the photos or works they do.
I just wanted to say the way you've shared your work with the world is so appreciated, and that I hope that you get enough reminders to know you've mattered. Keep up the wonderful work.
What kind of pizza girl are you? You have any unusual toppings that you like that others never think about?
Hmmm I think I'm pretty standard. Pep and mush, green peppers, that sorta thing. Banana peppers are good too. Not so keen on Italian sausage. I'm slightly on the pro-side of the "pineapple on pizza" debate. I probably won't order it often on my own, but I won't refuse to eat it either. It's fine.
Who are some of your favourite furry artists that you love?? If you could commission something from them, what would it be?
There are so, so many, and I've commissioned a lot of them already. I'm sure I'm going to forget one or two or three haha. But here goes...
Adrian Schweinsberg (Lead Castle Art)
Homepage
Adrian has an extremely cool manga aesthetic. Futuristic type style that I feel fits quite well within my own Korrent City world. I got a commission from him last year that I still absolutely love.
Poiuytrew
Homepage
Poi is so creative with their outfits and scenes, and the artwork is really on point! They went the extra mile when I commissioned them last year!
Kiyone
Bluesky
Kiyone is probably the artist I've commissioned the most over the years. Tons of icons and full-pieces, always a pleasure to work with, and a good friend!
Tatsumichi
FurAffinity
I'm really happy to see Tatsumichi back after a long hiatus. I've always loved their art, and I've loved the pieces I've gotten from them over the years.
Trisk
FurAffinity
Gosh, what I can say. One of the most amazing latex artists around. Love their work, but haven't had the pleasure to commission them yet.
Lettuce
Homepage
Lettuce has a very fun and cartoony look, but also renders latex extremely well. I got a commission from them ages ago, and it's about high time I did again.
Do you enjoy listening to your own music? Do you chill with one of your albums occasionally, or are you “done with it” once it’s published? Or something I between?
I do enjoy listening to my own music, but there's a indeterminate amount of time right after it's completed that I will not listen to it on purpose. If it comes up in a playlist, that's fine, but I won't go out of my way to play it. Sometimes I'll just spend a couple of hours listening to my super old music as a kind of nostalgia trip.
As always, big big fan of your aesthetic in rubber, the worldbuilding, your looks... so damn good.
Out of interest - what first drew you to latex, or were there any catalysts that made you go 'I NEED IT'? I'd be super keen to know what first piqued your curiosity in the shiny stuff.
I've always been interested in latex. No, really, like, always. I can remember being, like, 4 or 5 and day-dreaming about wearing rubber clothes. I don't know why that has always been a thing in my head, and I have no idea where the idea came from, but it always was there. I never thought that there would be other people into it, so back then I thought that I'd have to make my own rubber suits when I got older haha.
As I grew older and into my teenage years I kinda repressed it. But After I figured out that I was some form of queer (thanks to the furry fandom) I eventually came back around to the idea of latex and have been squeaky ever since.
What's a musical instrument you want to try but haven't yet.
I've never played a bass guitar, and after I finished In Flux I kinda wanted to get one. I still haven't yet but maybe some day!
However, last summer I did finally get the guitar I had wanted since I was a teenager, a 7-string Ibanez. So I have finally played a 7-string guitar. I love that thing. Gosh!
You were a major creative inspiration to me when I first got into both latex and photography years ago. To this day I continue to admire your artistic craft and sense of style and I'm so glad to see you still creating the works you do.
How do you take your pictures? Do you have a photographer or do you set up everything yourself? I've been trying to get better at this sort of thing in a very amateur way. Any very basic tips?
I set up everything myself. I have an RF remote controlled shutter for my camera, and I have my camera plugged into a screen of some sort (sometimes a TV, sometimes a computer monitor) so I can see where I need to stand and preview poses.
As for lighting it depends on where I am. If I'm in a room with a lot of good ambient light I'll probably just use the available light and not add any extra. Though, lately, I've been using my Amaran LED light tubes. I have two 4ft lights and one 2ft light. I really like them because I can control the colours of the lights on my phone. I'd say light is very important. Photography is basically painting with light, so the more you have usually the better. I tend to try to get softer lighting, but it really depends on what you like. I personally don't really care for hard shadows in most cases.
After taking photos I process them in Lightroom, which is a whole other thing unto itself, but it does play a big role in how my photos come out in the end.
So, basic tips I would say more light = better, get to know how the different controls on the camera interact with each other (apeture, ISO, focal length, etc) so you know how your camera handles different amounts of light, and just play with it. Just take pictures of regular stuff around the room, see how they come out, try different settings, take the picture again, see how it changes.
What do you like most about latex and gas masks? Is it more of liking the way you look in them, the tactile sensation of them against your body and face, or is it more of an identity thing like becoming a sona, character or drone? Or even some cool, unique, niche aspect entirely!
I think latex and gas masks both have transformative power, they allow me to become something other than human.
I love how gas masks look, how they look not quite human. Hoses and canisters are also top notch and add to the look. The way breathing through them sounds is also very very good. They just look and sound so cool.
Latex is also a feast for the senses. I love how it looks, feels, sounds, and smells. Wearing a tight latex suit is also very soothing, stress just seems to melt away.
