👸🏼: i was born in the same state as Sabrina Carpenter! we are both Pennsylvanians. makes me very patriotic because i actually hate it here! so much! but at least Barbie Princess Angel Godsend was born here too. not talking about me this time. 😊 she talks about this very often though. i see many people comment on her sudden “twang” in her voice and her sudden country-influenced music style but.. i think they just arent familiar with how much country music and southern culture in general is actually LOVED here lol. i grew up on country music as did most of my friends and family! weve got a generous amount of spacious countryside land. i wouldnt want to be familiar with Pennsylvania either if i werent born here but… i wish people would at least educate themselves before opening their mouths 🤕 in some parts of PA youll even hear the ever so slight country influence in our accents! i wouldnt say it’s “sudden.” id say shes just.. you know… branching out? ..going off of what she grew up with? and perhaps maybe her PA roots have something to do with it too 🫣🫣 Dolly Parton is one of her biggest influences and idols and she even has an entire song with her so thats a point to add as well. whether its “sudden” or not she knows exactly what shes doing and shes taking it. by it… well… i mean…. let’s just say….. DAT #GRAMMY! Man’s Best Friend AOTY!!!!! i hate Pennsylvania but ill be patriotic for her. oh taylor swift was born here too i guess i just dont like her
