I was thinking about giant robots and I remembered something from my childhood! You ever read Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot? Fun lil books with neat illustration style by Martin Ontiveros. Idk if they're worth reading as an adult but just curious if they played some role in forming your giant robot interest.

I've never heard of this no, but looking at some pictures they do make fun use of the scale for silly interactions which I like! Good books I'm sure I'd have loved them as a child :>
