I like the concept of a giant far more than I do specific giant characters, I guess.
The only Specific ones to come to mind are the Iron Giant, and Kloontje het Reuzenkind (Kloontje the giant's child), which was a mascot at a long-defunct Dutch theme park named Het Land Van Ooit (The Land of Eventually) (works better in dutch), an adult woman playing the child of giants, so like. She was a kid. But big. you get it. I wouldn't say she's really a favorite though, but probably had an impact.

Rather than having been influenced by specific giant characters, it's stuff like Alice getting big in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, or a couple Marvel characters like Kamala Kahn who can get big but aren't big by default. Oh, also of particular note are two Miku songs, Gigantic Girl and Time Machine, which depict her as a giant. Those are all things that influenced me a lot, but none of them are Characters Who Are Giants, yknow? I struggle to even think of any other giant characters that'd come close to being Favorites, kinda weird sfhgghaf

How observant! No, I have not. I've also cancelled my annual pass. In the last few years, the Efteling has been straying further from their fairy tale and folkloric theming with new attractions, and they keep removing more and more of the park's beautiful greenery to make room for flat rides just to fill space. One of the park's greatest selling points was the space between attractions, it was as much a beautiful nature park as it was a theme park, and we're losing that more and more. As if that wasn't enough, they've also started using generative AI for many guest interactive elements, rather than. Yknow. People. So. At this point I cannot support the park, I can only hope they get their shit in order, probably via new management. We'll see.
