hai! this is my second fest so i am still fairly new to how things work. uhm how does claiming work? like i know we select prompts we like and wanna do, but how does it work in terms of like what we receive? do we select multiple, and then we get given one prompt that is available? i ask bc i dont wanna run the risk of claiming multiple (out of safety in case the others get taken before me) and i get too many prompts to do, ykwim? just some clarity on how the process looks like would be helpful!! thank you!
hiii! we'll soon be posting about the claiming process before it opens up, so you'll get to see exactly what our form looks like soon, but that said...
you will be asked to submit up to 3 prompts of interest, and they are ranked from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice. you will always get your highest ranked choice first as it is available--so if that's your 1st, yay! if your 1st is gone, then you'll get your 2nd, etc. IF all 3 of your prompts have been taken already (since they are assigned based on who submits for them first), we will reach out to let you know so that you can submit another claim on different prompts.
you will only be given 1 prompt at a time to complete. if you finish your prompt and submit your fic or art ahead of the schedule and want another prompt, then we will have a process for that.
