hello, about the darkfic question, you said a prompt or fic can be pulled for any reason. can you please be more clear on that? what gets a fic pulled? i don't want to participate in a fest with hidden rules where i can't tell if i've broken them or not. i especially don't want to put in the work for a fanfic for this fest only to have it pulled for breaking an unlisted rule. i hope this doesn't sound rude, i just don't want me or other authors to needlessly stress about what might be okay or not okay to write.
The full text of that answer says “if it is deemed inappropriate,” which in this fest’s case means it goes against the stated rules or theme/spirit of the fest. We hope we have been fairly clear with our stated rules - if you are unsure about them, you can always email or message, but it is not our intent to hide or obfuscate any requirements. The statement is a very low-level fail-safe, not a judgement call.
