hello all,
do you have a favourite fiction based personality/identity sorting system that can be applied to real life?
umm, you could think: honkai star rail paths, the magnus archives fears, homestuck classpects...
you could get more 'complex', too. i'm sure these sorts of systems could come from nearly any series. er like things like umamusume, omori, project sekai, umm. whatever else people like right now.
i think it's endearing thattt...they can mean a lot, but really only to other fans!
at first it reminded me of limbus company sins just because tbh... pm has a lot (a lot) of systems for these and just stopping to think about it is kinda hard to pick one exactly, from wings to syndicates to offices to sin to ego to ID to- there's *a lot and all of those kinda tell you a little about your personality, like if you were to pick a wing or if you were to manifest EGO or if you were to literally distort, aaaa. ahem, anyways project moon really said "fuck your mbti, are you distorting or manifesting EGO!?" oh my god i just remembered library floors and lobcorp departments i'm gonna cry....
As a Project Sekai fan, the closest thing I can get to "personality sorting" in the game would be Sekai orientation—that is, a private world born from a paroxysm of intense emotions. I don't think it suits the prompt very well however, seeing it's inapplicable to real life (a pity, really, 'cause it sounds freaking awesome). Another one I quite like is Genshin Impact's visions, which reflect the vision bearer's goals or ideals (a good explanation can be found here), though it isn't really something explicitly discussed in Genshin (at least to my knowledge, I haven't played it in ages) and is more a theory than anything tangible... I dunno!
