That said, writing a long story is a bit like going on a road trip with a destination in mind. You know where you're headed, but sometimes you discover new routes, interesting detours, or moments that feel more meaningful than what you originally planned.

So yes, even while I'm not actively working on TEOU, I'll occasionally get new ideas, notice details I want to expand on, or think of scenes that would make certain events hit harder emotionally. The overall story hasn't changed, but some of the paths leading there definitely evolve over time and before anyone panics—no, I'm not secretly rewriting the entire thing from scratch. 😭 The word count is already terrifying enough as it is.
