HELP i honestly don't know how to answer this . coloring is my fav part so i just like to play around! some tips i can give though are 🤔 (digital art ofc) brushes are your best friend ... especially when they're textured AND have an adjustable transparency !!! i always mess with the transparency of my brush because i can "layer" colors, if that makes any sense? I'll try to make a post w my fav brushes later (☆_☆) also, never be afraid of saturation or bright colors! and hue shifting whenever u're shading is the key! i personally think it makes everything more lively, instead of just darkening the base color. last thing, even though it's not always easy (T_T), i Try to stick to a color palette ... warm or cold, depends on the piece, it makes everything more cohesive. i hope any of this yapping made sense, i suck at explaining BSNSBSsnnsn . i'll make a follow up post later ! :]
