since u started writing fanfics, has it changed the way you consume fanfics? like ik u already did something adjacent to writing/analytical work at uni so ur used to that type of thing, but are u able to read fanfics for pure enjoyment or has part of you started viewing them through a more technical lens?
oh yeah for sure. writing fics has definitely changed how i read bc sometimes i can’t turn off the part of my brain that starts clocking the structure or pacing or why a certain scene hits so hard but i can still read for pure enjoyment too! these days i mostly read fics js to feel smth,,, i try not to overthink it too much, even if reading that way does help me as a writer sometimes. i think i just try to find a balance between enjoying the story and seeing how it’s built
