hi bibi what are ur favorite niche tropes to read
hihi !! ooo niche tropes .. . well. in general most of the tropes i really enjoy have some kind of forbidden / frowned upon element to them ? the angst u can write with that .. lots of pining , yearning, stolen glances and small touches . i love it being able to build up.. i don't know if these count as niche really but.. recently camboy x royal au have enlightened me . i need more of that kind of situation , actually . royal aus in general too although i really don't think that counts as niche lol
brothers best friend / best friends brother . i am a broken record. it's not even a common tag on ao3 yet so in my eyes that makes it niche . there is not enough! we need more! and i will not stop talking about it!!!
cheating is fun too .. i think a lot of people don't like to read it because they're very against cheating in general (which i get !! and also i am too irl!!) but in fiction, and when it's minsung cheating with each other , to me then it's perfect actually <3
dating show / reality tv show as well!!! i think they're soo fun and there is not enough of them. i love the angst that u can explore with it

the girlfriends brother idea hasn't left me alone and thoughts, many many thoughts, have been thunk and they're very incoherent so excuse me for that, but i need to leave them somewhere.they're barely thoughts either just my imagination coming up with ideas when i do my chores but i feel like there would be some kind of comfort between them already? if the bf is constantly around and especially when gf and bro are close. and from there the ideas just flow!! maybe they all just love gaming together, maybe bf and bro share the same interests and get to have some really cool convos, maybe bf needs tutoring in smth bro is really good at and they get close during that, maybe it's a hot summer pool session that changes it all cause O_O... maybe they knew each other from when they were little, bf and gf being childhood f2l and the brother witnessing that (him then fooling around w her bf would add so many layers of guilt too cause what is he doing??? have some shame jdhdjsj) there are just so many ways to kickstart it (some more dramatic than others) and i wish i had the talent to write them i would come up with 5000 alternate universes for them... maybe they're in the same sports club... doing sweaty sports club activities.. sorry got lost there but there's just so many possibilities but the guilt and angst that would take place in such a story make my skin crawl!!!! the tension the secret desires the constant fears of getting caught but who tf cares whoooooo caresssss aaaaaaa this is such a stupid ask i'm so sorry i hope u don't mind djhdjd really cool idea u have there... i'm kinda a fan if you didn't notice

i could talk about merthur forever and the minsung parallels are insane bc they're both just the most ultimate soulmates ever but like.... arthur already risking his life for a guy he knew for a week (happened to my good friend m-).. arthur always considering merlin's opinions bc he values it and trusts him... "i want you to always be you" (sounds like smth someone else has said before) .... "murder is not the solution" merlin always killing everyone left and right when it comes to arthur's safety... heck merlin even let go of his one true dream of magic returning to camelot for arthur's safety 😭 arthur imagining running away from his life (w merlin by his side obv).. I COULD TALK FOREVER ABOUT THEM LIKE WHY ARE THEY INSANE. the deleted scene that isn't deleted at all in my head about arthur giving merlin his mothers sigil (his family sigil!!! to merlin!!! one of his most priced possessions!!! not even to his wife!!!!!!!) like the devotion here is insane and i know who else is very devoted to each other mr i like normal and my forever companion and i'm yapping too much don't let the soulmates take over your body and soul it's dangerous
you get me SOO BAD !!!! yes yes the parallels !!!! merthur are so them. arthur listened and valued merlin's opinion and thoughts more than anyone else most of the time. i literally made a whole tumblr post about the last episode and arthur finding out the truth and trying to grapple with it, the fact it was less about how merlin had magic (and that was something he'd always known to be bad) and more about the fact merlin had kept it from him, and kept it from him SUCCESSFULLY . like arthur was mad at himself that he didn't realise that whole time. that merlin had been saving him every day for all those years, was the closest person to him more than gwen, and still he didn't?? see it??? it was very important to me. something about being so close you see right through them. "i want you to always be you" will plague me for forever!!!!! please NEVERRRRRR stop yapping to me about minsung and merthur either together or separately i am here FOR BOTH!!
