POSITIVE SIGNS THAT GW WILL RETURN 💙

1) WAKEONE DEFENDED HIM

If WakeOne wanted to remove him, they would never have defended him. By saying that the hot mic incident was not targeted at someone, they protected Geonwoo’s idol image.

And in February, they also hired top lawyers, which costs a lot of money. They spent a good amount on this case, so I don’t think they plan to remove him.

In their statement, they said they were late in responding because they were collecting evidence. In the end, they concluded that all the bullying rumors about Geonwoo were false except for the hot mic incident.

They put him on hiatus because the controversy became too big. It was affecting both his image and the group’s image, so they chose hiatus to calm the situation down. I know many of you are angry, but this is how the K-pop industry works. It’s not my first time seeing an idol go on hiatus. I was a Stay during Hyunjin’s hiatus, so I understand how these situations work.

WK1 probably won’t post anything related to GW for at least 2–3 months because they don’t want media attention to return to the controversy. So please don’t expect anything before the fancon. Hope can hurt when expectations get too high.

2) OUR TEAM COMEBACKGW
Our team is doing so much to support his return, so let’s support them whenever we can 🙏🏻

During hiatus situations, companies always monitor domestic fan reactions and public opinion. If the ComebackGW team keeps fighting for his return, it will help because they represent Korean fan projects.

Also, didn’t WK1’s CEO change last year? Many people are worried because of WK1’s past pattern with hiatus members, but the old CEO changed. I hope the new CEO will manage this situation better.

I also researched her handling of hiatus situations, and many idols like Irene and Taeyong returned after controversies, so I hope she makes the right decision.

They also formed two centers:

One for ZB1 and izna One for ALD1 and solo artists

Because they are aiming for global success, I think they will also consider global fans and their support for Geonwoo’s return.

We just have to keep fighting for him until he comes back.

3) HE’S STILL INCLUDED IN GROUP CONTENT
The ODF intro made me cry. I know re-editing would cost money, but I’m happy they still included him in the intro.

And the 8 stars on SW’s birthday post 😭

Maybe I’m overthinking, but sometimes it feels like the members still leave space for him in photos.

4) LIGHTSTICK WITH 8 PHOTOCARDS

I was so happy to see there were 8 photocards with the lightstick 🥹

It gives me hope that he’s returning to the group where he belongs. Lightsticks are official group merchandise that future fans will also buy, so I see this as another positive sign..

5) THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT
They said “for the time being,” not permanently.

If they truly wanted to remove him, they would have done it much sooner. They know he has strong financial power too. He came from a survival show and ranked #4, so it’s impossible to ignore his fandom.

The company knows he brings money and support to the group too.

So please continue the boycott ( gw fans) until he’s back. Show them that people want Geonwoo.

6) THE SILENCE

WK1 hasn’t posted anything since April, and their followers are dropping too, so maybe they’re busy dealing with lawsuits 😁😁

In the last statement, they mentioned that someone was trying to leak personal information and hack accounts. I hope legal action is being taken because some of the projects against him go way too far.

Funeral wreaths and trucks are already extreme, but criminal flyers being handed out to random people is honestly insane. People were trying to ruin his image.

Funeral wreaths and trucks:
Can lead to fines or imprisonment in serious defamation or intimidation cases. If false claims are spread publicly, penalties can include up to 5 years imprisonment or fines under Article 307 of the Criminal Act.

Criminal flyers:
South Korea increases penalties when defamation is spread through publications or printed materials. Under Article 309, false defamatory publications can lead to up to 7 years imprisonment.

7) CONSEQUENCES IF HE IS REMOVED

If they remove him, it will definitely affect the group.

ALD1 recently won ROTY, and voting and streaming were extremely important for that achievement. GW fans also worked hard for it. OT8 fans streamed, voted, bought albums, and supported the group together.

That’s why we won.

For the August mini album, I truly believe he’ll be back because otherwise there will be a major boycott. GW fans absolutely have power.

This fandom is made up of 8 fandoms, and every fandom contributes. Losing one major fandom’s support would seriously impact album sales and support.

We’ve already seen the financial power his fans hold, and even some OT8 fans are ready to boycott too.

WK1 is a greedy company. They care about money, and 8 members means more money.

8) TRUST OUR GEONWOO
Believe me, I cried so much when I read his letter and the notice. I stopped eating for days because it hurt that badly.

But after some time, I reread his letter carefully, and one line gave me hope:

“I will do my best to return as a more mature person.”

That line means everything to me.

He doesn’t want this to end. He doesn’t want to leave. His goal is to return — return to where he belongs.

He belongs to ALD1. He belongs with his 7 members.

ALD1 was formed as 8 members, and for me, it will always remain 8 forever 💙

Now for byeols you guys are the strongest and kindest fandom 💙

Please don’t listen to people saying you don’t care about the other 7 members, because if they were in your position, they would probably do the same thing.

Please take care of yourselves. He will return. Geonwoo will definitely return.

thank you for loving Geonwoo this much. even though we don’t know each other at all, i can really see how sincere your love and support for him are.

i know things must be really hard for you rn. it hurts so bad seeing someone who gave us so much comfort and happiness receive so much hate from other people. and i hope you won’t be too hard on yourself, okay? if you wanna cry, then cry, but please don’t forget to eat, rest, and take care of yourself too :( i know you seem strong, but keeping all that sadness to yourself must hurt a lot.

and honestly, if Geonwoo knew there’s someone like you still loving and staying by his side even during times like this, i’m sure he’d feel really grateful and lucky to have a fan like you, Vy.

i just hope his hiatus ends soon, and when Geonwoo finally comes back, the people who truly waited for him, including you and me will still be there for him 🤍
