oh goodness i wish i had any reasonable tips for writing/finishing a wip especially because i am notoriously bad at finishing wips......... i just have to tunnel vision and lock in on it. if i hit a block i'll take a break and try to come back later with fresh eyes. but sometimes you really just gotta force yourself through the rough part i won't lie 😭😭 some people find an outline helpful but tbh if i ever outline it is only very vaguely and only for longfics to keep track of plot points and the like. for my one shots (and tbh a few of my chaptered fics) i truly just open a doc and dump. detailed outlines tend to kill my fics personally bc a part of me is like...... i've already written the thing........ anyway for me writing is like 90% manic madness and 10% forcing myself through the hard to write parts so i can finish the thing/get to the part i really want to write. i also can't really fully write scenes out of order, so if there's a scene i'm really excited to write it's motivation to write the leading up part lmao. i don't think any of this is particularly helpful but it is how my writing process usually goes 🫶🏻🫶🏻
