everything you said. ive actually talked extensively abt this with friends. first of all, every single idol ever has a persona. i'll take it a step further: every single person at your job has a work persona. every single peer you have has a persona. how someone acts with their friends isnt how they act with their mother. humans are social creatures and we adapt our personalities to fit the communities and contexts we are in. this is the most basic concept that so many people do not understand. mind you, if i shoved a camera in YOUR face nearly 24/7 for a decade, i fucking promise you that you'd act differently than how you do when you're alone in your room. this whole "discourse" is so utterly absurd to me. ALSO. like you said, it is HIS JOB. TO BE ENTERTAINING. THAT IS IN HIS JOB DESCRIPTION AND HOW HE GAINS FANS. to claim he's a two faced bitch bc he encourages bits in content is just... these people are insane. anyways. haechan is incredibly multifaceted and we know this bc he SHOWS US! he shows us so many parts of himself, and so many people either take that for granted or try to weaponize it against him. we see him offer different sides of himself and hear how those who love him talk about him. to claim "haechan" is a complete fake is both delusional and dehumanizing. frankly, if haechan IS hiding certain parts of himself from the public eye, THAT IS HIS RIGHT. he doesnt fucking OWE the public ANYTHING. the same general public which has torn him to shreds countless times for the way he looks or baseless rumors? that public? these "fans"? right. its not a sin to keep some things personal. privacy is a human right. believe it or not, this applies to kpop idols! shocker i know. haechan has been a perfect idol who has painfully shared himself with us for over a decade and it'll still never be enough for some people.
