Locs are significant to black culture especially other hairstyles such as cornrows or box braids. To sit here and defend some white dude with dreads is BEYOND me. Talk about cultural appropriation?? When black people stylize their hair using these hairstyles they’ll always be seen as ‘unkept’ or ‘unprofessional’ as someone who’s black sometimes I would feel ashamed having my hair kept in such a way and started having so much hatred for my hair. But when a white man does it it’s fine?? yeah ok I guess I’m the woke one. At the end of the day it’s cultural appropriation and that’s unacceptable.
