I've been watching some romance movies lately and then go hmmmmmm how can I make this about jeongcheol? so anyways (definitely taking this opportunity to ask for more romance movie recs if you have but I'm also very sick in the head) what romance movies do you think is so jeongcheol coded, I don't mind any languages as well as if it's the classics or not cause I may or may not watch those hehe
well when harry met sally is my favorite movie and also the best romantic film of all time so jot that down (divorced jeongcheol was very much inspired by whms)

sweet home alabama, past lives (EYE think it’s a romance……but it is bittersweet…), brokeback mountain (sad…sorry so many of my favs are kind of sad…), portrait of a lady on fire, dirty dancing (classic…not sad!), bell book & candle (also classic…jimmy stewart…good for halloween or christmas!), the before trilogy, in the mood for love, weekend…
this is a wild list tbh but it’s what came to mind

oh and extra special shout out to mandy moore, i'm probably the only person who still remembers and loves the movie saved! solely bc of ms moore (i really need saved! to somehow become a cult hit, that movie had : weird culty christian school, christian girlified regina moore played by mandy moore herself, teen pregnancy, said teen pregnancy being a result of young jena malone herself trying to convert her son-of-a-priest bf who came out to her in the pool into being str8 thru unprotected sex, macaulay culkin, eva amurri being the rebellious emo gf of dreams and mandy moore eventually raging and crushing her car into a ginormous jesus figurine thing) what are you childhood things that make you go hmm i really was a lesbian ? (i'm realizing i forgot to mention my tendancy to ship every single girl bully-bullied girl - and no, i don't have a humiliation kink)

hiii I just watched the jewel box episode and I must admit that I do enjoy the many ships that svt provides us with BUT regardless of all that, regardless of what’s real or not, even if svt are somehow all straight, it made me really happy to see how comfortable and friendly they were on the show - I feel like a lot of « straight » men especially in media kind of avoid physical contact with openly gay men. And cheol and Mingyu were so huggy (idk if that’s a word but you get the point) it was really nice to experience as a gayrat especially as a Mingyu bias.
