I've attempted it couple of times (the sex pollen fic, my upcoming 10th anniversary fic) but I think I've eventually swerved into divergent territory with them. A true canon compliant would be fun to tackle; I'm fascinated by their early angst regarding the leadership position in piwon so that's where my brain goes to when I think of the trope. Do you have specific lore/an event about them you'd like to see in fic, or just exploring their relationship in general?
