My friend hal got me into bonedo! I had been seeing them on my tl for a while and I knew about Jaehyun through his mc job on M Countdown, but I didn't know much about the rest of the group. Earlier this year, my ult groups were slowing down promos/not being super active and I felt like my playlists needed a refresh so I was looking for a new group. I knew vaguely of myungtae via hal, so I asked her about them + the members in general. The more I learned, the more I fell for them. That + going through some health stuff irl suddenly gave me a lot of time to just like… dive into their content

When I stan groups, I usually see the member who ends up being my bias in some content —> I check out their group —> I officially stan, but with bonedo it was the opposite. It's pretty rare for me to feel like I “click” with every member of a kpop group, but I felt that with them right away.

I think I went a couple weeks without a bias?? As I learned more about their personalities, I really did think I’d be a Woonhak bias!! Emotionally intelligent + youngest member who acts much older + caretaker of the other members/people in general is like. wren bait. see: my love for svt’s dino, riize’s anton, etc. I think I went through a solid period with each member where I felt so much draw to them I thought they’d be my favorite.

I was considering myself ot6 biased during the time I was beta reading Win a Date with Kim Donghyun! {you should read it here if you haven't yet} but there was just Something about every Jaehyun scene that just stuck with me. I found myself watching his fancams in-between reading chapters, looking up his trainee history, and watching any piece of content with him I could find. I have like, a physical reaction to seeing him it's insane. My CHEST HURTS bro. It’s probably cheesy but he brings me so much genuine joy to watch, I can't help but bias him. He’s very special to me <3

I haven't been here for long, but bonedo is already super important to me. They came around at a time I really needed some joy in my life, and I can say they’ve brought me that joy every day since!

I’m not sure if I can call it a proper rivalry since they fit different roles in their groups (so there isn’t a direct one-to-one comparison of who is “better”), but I do think there's an interesting dynamic between the Yoon brothers going on.

I think Keeho taking a step back during last album’s design/production/promos vs. Yechan being so hands-on in all of the content 82Major puts out is a big tell. Yechan gets a lot more direct influence over the final product 82Major puts out (not just the music, but the social media posts, photography, etc. which we all have evidence that he has engaged in) while the other members and the company as a whole to have more control over what’s put out there for P1Harmony vs. it being mostly Keeho

To be clear, I understand why Keeho took a step back. He was so deeply involved in every aspect of what P1Harmony put out for ages, from the music itself to album designs, styling, etc. and that is just… so much for one person to do. I love what he has created so far, but had to have been exhausting on his end and I really hope he’s using this time to rest.

The question I have is: does Keeho feel pride seeing Yechan? Jealousy? Does he regret his decision, or was it one he still stands by? I feel like the answer here would show a lot about potential career trajectories for both groups

As for how etume fans view their dynamic and their career trajectories, in my opinion it's a mix of pride but also a sore subject. I know many fans who stan both groups. However, Yechan gets compared to Keeho constantly. It happens so often that for a long time 82Major was viewed as “Keeho’s brother’s group” and Yechan was just “Keeho’s brother” as opposed to his own separate identity as an artist. Yechan gets brought piwon merch to sign at events and concerts, 82Major lives and TikToks are filled with references to P1Harmony, and so on. If it's annoying to fans (especially Yechan biased ones), I can only imagine how hard that comparison must be for Yechan

Ships I love but can’t write: keeho/jiung/theo should work for me in theory since they’re all my biases and yet. knik have such insane chemistry potential but I struggle to pair yudai with anyone who isn’t fuma or taki. humjju because I love leaders but I struggle BAD with euijoo’s voice, I’ve only just gotten a handle on him for nichojoo. I’ve tried to write yechan and seokjoon together like 10 different times but I can never complete a fic for them

favorite rarepair: idk if mamaz (yuma/fuma) are a rarepair but I adore them. also takyum!! I have a huge soft spot for yechan/seokjoon/seongil poly and I really thought that was going to be My Ship when I first got into the etume fic space

I know of ampers and have their music on a playlist of mine, but I don’t know them much as people! I have several friends who really love them and say the fanfic scene is good, though
