it depends on problematic theme tbh. in my case, watching anime since i was a minor really "vaccinated" me of a lot of problematic stuff so i just internalized it n no longer see some themes as fucked up as other people could. its something that grew within me so it became "normal". i'd recommend you find specific people you can share your interests with! it helps a lot! i have dynamic and ships i never talk about cause it's very specific, but just remember: it's fiction. as long as it doesn't harm real people, you are free to enjoy whatever you want
