omg wait tysm this is so nice of you to say 🥹 you're pointing out so many specific things i was so excited about and im soooo happy it all came across like i was hoping 💚💚 the undiagnosed autism stuff is so important to me; i didn't make it explicit bc xinlong isn't aware of it but like i tried to make it as obvious as possible without outright saying so. like i've referred to this fic before as my "autism thesis statement" lol bc tbh a big part of it is just me going "this is what it's like" in way i couldn't figure out how to articulate otherwise, and anyways aaaaa i'm so glad to hear that came across!!
also i think you might be the first person to mention the aro-coding but yes!!!! that was less intentional in that i didn't plan it from the start but it just felt like a really natural direction when i was trying to resolve his crush plotline and like, idk it's not something that shows up in fanfic too much unless that's specifically what the fic is about really? which does make sense bc a lot of fic is very ship/romance-focused but idk i thought it would be neat to include as just like. a normal thing in the background. it wasn't a huge detail but i'm so glad you were able to pick up on it!!
