you can ignore this if you want, but the friend of that person you called out on bsky for tracing AI is posting about it on Reddit:

as someone struggling to find motivation to draw, what would you recommend as a way to get creativity flowing? anything in the realm of short studies, redraws, etc.?
I'll just do little meaningless sketches that might turn into something more, like that jacket series or the eroge party one from last year. It's very easy to fall into the idea that you need to create PIECES and ILLUSTRATIONS that means every drawing needs to take 100 hours and suck ass the entire time, but starting with the intention of having a finished piece is what stifles the flow for me at least.
Apologies ahead of time in the event this ends up too invasive, so please take it lightly as I don't mean any ill.
Are there any particular fetishes, preferences that get you going like how it is the other way around with followers presumably masturbating to your art?
For me, it only matters if I can tell the artist was putting themselves into the art wholesale. I'm actually shockingly vanilla, as you can probably tell from my work. Biggest radiohead fan who hates feet/scat/etc, but I love his work because you can feel the grunge being scraped off of his brainpan as he's drawing. I've seen very high quality selfsuck art that does less than nothing for me because it doesn't have the visceral love for the action like say, someone like uno makoto can display just by how he draws the creases around the hand holding the cock.
Which categories of games or general ways of monetizing them do you consider to be predatory and harmful to the big wide industry, indie included?
Really it's just lootbox/gacha/battlepass shit now. I've had a ton of fun with early access and it's been an incredibly good tool for smaller devs, despite the bad actors. And I'm happy to pay for stupid skins depending on how they're implemented. Meanwhile basically all gacha is just gambling meant to make you worry about FOMO and not the game you're playing actually being good. And battle passes are that FOMO with a subscription price logged on because they can't do gacha in the EU anymore. Same as how skins are now locked to a battlepass instead of just being a one-time purchase. Get the FOMO, make someone pay for a sub, and then force them to play X hours to unlock it, instead of just doing a challenge ingame or whatnot like it used to be.
Some time ago I watched video about White chamber by Rata and was directed to your account for the thumbnail but could not find full picture because your twitter account was locked. Is there any way I could see full version of it besides twitter?
What is the best place to contact you if one wants a commission, or simply do you take on commissions?
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but gooning advice for fellow Canadian?
Idk about gooning but the only country specific advice I have is if you have the ability to buy physical eromanga and adult comics, fucking do it, because it's incredibly difficult to import. Precedent has been set that nobody will ever go to jail for it, but people have had normal ass bleach volumes confiscated at the border due to laws passed in the Harper years defining basically ALL manga as potentially csam, and it still makes it difficult to import anything to this day. Doesn't happen very often, but I've heard numerous stories of people getting their stuff confiscated at customs. Part of why I so rarely import doujinshi anymore but leap at the chance to buy Fakku english releases and the like when they're sold here.
Where/how did you learn anatomy?
Same as anyone, I imagine, just doing studies/copying artists I like. There's mountains of reference material out there, and it's a skill that requires legitimate practice to build both muscle memory and a knowledge base, so unfortunately there's no real shortcuts. My anatomy kind of sucks specifically because I don't do enough studies lmao.
Hey. I noticed you reposted some art with a flat chastity cage (a particular favorite of mine)
I don't think I've ever seen you draw chastity? Would you do it with any of your OCs? Would you be opposed to fanart of that?
VERY SPECIFIC ARTISTS can make it look cute or have a good aesthetic, but in general I don't like it as a fetish. Much prefer humiliating someone for having it flopping around than containing it. I get it, just not for me. Probably wouldn't ever draw it myself, and I don't think it makes sense to apply it to my OCs.
How do you find motivation to draw? Besides wanting to make a living of course heh
Sometimes I do have an idea and a serious motivation, but a lot more often I just sit down and flip through my reference folder or an eromanga that woke me up recently and see if anything sets me off and gives me an idea. I imagine it's pretty common for most artists to not start working purely based on motivation, because imo it is something you gotta kickstart yourself. Smashing pen to canvas doesn't always work, but it works enough.
