hello :D i tweeted the top 10 of my updated ship sorter last night (here in case you want to check that out: https://x.com/milkdangist/status/1971555476996513827) so im going off from that, completely ignoring the top/bottom dichotomies btw:

sunwon: how do i even begin to explain this... it's funny because they used to be just another ship that i liked to me but one day i woke up and went WAIT. THESE TWO... THIS IS PEAK. i guess i just happen to proyect onto them the lesbian experience of having an undiscoled homoerotic/homoromantic and codependent relationship with your best friend. and it works. and it's my fave trope. jungwon is obsessed with sunoo and wants to live inside his skin and is fascinated by the confidence he carries himself with and wishes he could someday achieve to have half of that confidence and UGHHHHHHHHH. and sunoo doesn't understand what jungwon means because he sees jungwon as someone so talented and capable and gorgeous and i need to kill myself RIGHT NOW. also is jungwon ever gonna admit it out loud that he has a crush on sunoo? no. and is sunoo completely clueless to that fact? also no. sunoo loves flaunting himself around jungwon just to see how much jungwon can take before he folds and asks sunoo for just a dainty touch. a faint kiss. and it's a game of how long jungwon can stand being in denial while simultaneously wanting to skin alive anyone who dares touching sunoo. do NOT touch sunoo. don't do anything to him if jungwon isn't around to see if what you're doing is acceptable (it never is)

sunki: i can't lie i love first loves that don't work out. and sunki just happen to be not only that but also two people who even after that they have to be near each other 24/7. so from niki's perspective how do you even manage to move on from your first love if he happens to be the most drop dead gorgeous human on earth? and also the sweetest person you'll ever met? and also you can't even have him in the first place because you're an idol and the most you can do without stuff going terribly wrong within the group is to secretly make out because you also had to share rooms with five other people during the first like two or three years of your careers? and since of course they can't move on from each other they keep going back for more. it just gets worse and worse the more you dig in and i'm addicted to that. give me ALL the toxicity.

jaywon: oh my sweet sweet jaywon. they could work out so well if once again jungwon wasn't afraid of commitment and just feelings in general. jay is so in love with him to the point the rest of the members are making fun of him for it. even jungwon himself is making fun of him for it. and i think jay has a bit of a humiliation kink at this point because it just makes him fall in love even more. also despite everything i just said jungwon is of course also in love with jay. and he wants the attention jay gives him because he can tell it's something genuine and jay loves him for who he is and he doesn't have to impress him or pretend to be something more or someone better because jay loves him unconditionally. and in return jungwon also loves him unconditionally. just in his own way and at his own pace. and it's enough for both of them. at least for now. still jay's heart aches every time he thinks about how he could be holding and kissing jungwon if only he allowed him to... basically: i love angst. and jaywon are pretty angsty once you make it past all the fluffy surface

sunsun: another ship that didn't really move me when i started stanning enha. i was like ''okay. i see it and i get it, but they're not all that to ME'' and now i truly get them... god sunghoon is so far gone over sunoo. he never really learned how to deal with someone romantically so he's stuck at the pigtail pulling method, but somehow he still managed to make his way into sunoo's heart. they want each other so bad sometimes it's a bit overwhelming to watch. sunoo has definitely looked at sunghoon before and went 'this guy is 80% muscles 20% brains there's no way i'm falling for him' to himself. still sunghoon is the funniest person on earth and he's the sweetest puppy ever so of course sunoo had to swallow his own words once he fell for him. and honestly just look at the way sunghoon acts around sunoo it truly is like watching a male peacock trying to impress a female one. sometimes tradfujoshis have a point and you understand why popular ships are popular

heehoon: i think people would be surprised to find out they were the first enha ship i was into. it's not just a case of pairing my biases together tbh because sunghoon wasn't even 2nd on my bias sorter when i got into enha lol. but also i have to clarify that iland was one of the first contents i watched when i got into them this year (apart from a couple of random interviews, some enoclock episodes, etc) so i wasn't really aware of how much heeseung had changed regarding his emotionally unavailable status LMFAO. so... the puppy crush sunghoon had on heeseung really moved me to the point of them staying among the top 10 (top 5 in this case, i would say they switch places with some other ships too times) even if they're not that much of an ''active'' ship in comparison to others... i don't know, seeing how sunghoon always wanted heeseung's validation and how he followed him around all the time like a real puppy was so cute to me... i think heeseung was probably the first guy sunghoon saw and made him go ''wait... men...?'' and i find that so adorably funny LMFAO. i think heeseung just sees him as a handsome friend tbh, nothing romantic even if he is aware of sunghoon crushing on him before, but i think he wouldn't be completely opposed to maybe a make out session and a handjob from sunghoon here and there either lol. i enjoy ships like that where there are no actual (current) strings attached

hi once again anon! to be honest, now that i think about it seems that one of the things i enjoy the most about jungwon and his ships/dynamics in general seems to be me playing around with how i see his position as the leader affects the way he perceives the world/people around him. this poor kitty i'm experimenting with... with that said, i agree about that too. i think they rely on each other a lot. i'm very self-referential i know but i said it before too: sometimes i think heeseung feels (or felt, i think he's seen how jungwon managed to grow and mature and learn) guilty about having left such an important and stressful role to jungwon when he couldn't bear it himself even while being the older so i think he's always been trying to be as available as possible for him and allow him to be a kid around him when they were on the early years of their career. i think that plays a big part on why they see each other as the cutests too lol. i love them a lot...
a bit of a tmi but i was making some charts a couple of months ago trying to describe how i like to headcanon (and perceived) every member and their dynamics with the rest (it's been like. four months maybe. rip to that poor chart i know i'm never finishing it) and when i was describing how heeseung feels about jungwon i wrote ''genuinely adores jungwon. he also enjoys the fact that jungwon is kind of twisted like him. it makes him feel understood and not judged. he tends to let out his soft side with him.'' and i stand by that... + if i were to get onto the freaky stuff i think they'd allow themselves to fool around with the other it could be funnnn considering they're both afraid of commitment in my eyes so they wouldn't have to worry about the other catching feelings LMFAO. and also i mentioned this on another question i got i think but when it comes to jungwon topping between the two of them i absolutely love how fuzzi (https://twitter.com/fuzzi_y) portraits them, like jungwon looking a bit insane and being sadistic (like i said on the question about yangnik too) and heeseung being kind of a gooner for whatever he does #lovethat #needthat
