hey! sorry to bother you but is there any community or like a table with data about rps for onedoor/bnd? i really want to understand and do things right but idk where to start since this is new to me and i’ve only ever had experience with ships outside the kpop world :)

hihi soo! could you explain some of the rps etiquette?
i know it’s kinda late to bring this up again, but let’s talk about it :)
some really simple basics for rps:
- stick to using ship names when posting (learn the difference between chemi and ship names!)
- try not to use general hashtags (like group name, fandom name, stage name, real name, etc. those are for the wider fandom)
- avoid tagging their personal or official accounts (some rps accs even block the group’s official accs just to be extra safe, especially if the content is a bit spicy)
- when talking about idols in a general context, a lot of rps accs choose to 써방 (censor) their names or use a separate account. it’s not a strict rule, but more of a courtesy, it helps avoid their posts accidentally showing up in searches and keeps the line between rps and the wider fandom space a bit clearer.
and for non-rps:
- not liking rps doesn’t mean you get to police other people’s spaces
- please don’t qrt rps content into the general fandom tl, it only spreads it further
- don’t follow rps accs just to call them out. it’s not cool, and it’s way better to just scroll past if it’s not your thing
- learn to curate your tl w/ mute, block, filter tools.
- accept fandom diversity

hi admin! i just want to say thank you for supporting bnd but dont feel worried to push out translations and update on every small matter, fangirling should be fun not pressurising!! its normal to be busy and have a life outside of being a fan so dont worry about taking time to do what you need to do!!

on the topic of rps.. i feel like a lot of fans are new to this sort of thing so they don’t rlly know the etiquette(?) of it..? there’s a reason why korean and other fans heavily censor these names and like mash together them for their ships, it’s so that the members and other fans won’t find that sort of content when they search their names up regularly. but sometimes there’s so many tweets which blow up using their entire names and sometimes with really sexual themes as well and while i expect that idols definitely know about shipping culture and rps, it’s a bit odd to see things like that spoken about them so publicly . of course rps and shipping and fanfics are an integral part of any fandom, but we should also be mindful of the etiquette of it as well
true true. considering how young a lot of onedoor are, that might explain some of the issues. many just hop on the bandwagon without really knowing the dos and don’ts. the truth is, rps has its own etiquette. not just towards idols but also between fans (rps and non-rps). respecting the line between fiction and reality and keeping it where it belongs is a big part of that. when those boundaries get ignored or crossed, that’s usually when things blow up and spill outside of the community 😔
i hope we can keep those boundaries in mind, it helps the community stay a safe and fun space for everyone.

Kak soo, thank you for explaining the difference between rps/shipname and chemi name. As a rps it kinda ticked me off when someone uses the chemi name but the context is shipping / romantic... Kalo di Indo kayaknya sering melek soal ini dah banyak yang bisa ngasih resources buat ship names itu apa aja, tapi aku rasa di global jarang ada yang bisa kayak gitu :") i hope global onedoor bisa adopt the shipnames AND the difference between AB shipname and BA shipname because it is that serious :""))) sorry for kinda ranting in your alterspring, im just happy to see someone saying atuff about it. (Also, using the chemi name only is confusing... Are you just enjoy them platonically or likes them romantically - borderline rps - as well? Sometimes i will come across an edit with insanely romantic song but tagging it with chemi name. 😭 It's so confusing for me.)
dari dulu sebenernya itu udah jadi concern aku juga, tapi aku agak bingung cara nyampeinnya. takutnya kalau aku tiba-tiba ngomong tanpa konteks malah dikira policing atau kayak sok ngatur orang gitu kan. nah ini pas banget ada yang nanya, jadi aku bisa sekalian jelasin deh.
banyak banget emg yang kayak gitu, either mereka pure ngga tau atau emang mereka pun sebenernya masih confuse sama preferensi mereka. bbrp orang juga ngga mau di-cap rps karena mereka masih nganggep it’s a bad thing, padahal kan ngga gitu.
