do you perhaps know what event schedule they attended just now? because i saw fancams floating around but i don't remember there is announcement about it.
it was for ewha womans university’s 140th anniversary x kbs open concert (https://www.instagram.com/p/DXYVQEYij6R) they never officially revealed the lineup, so there wasnt any formal announcement to begin with since only insiders really knew about it. there was a rumor tweet going around in late april mentioning bonekdo, but it got deleted not long after.

Do you ever wonder if bonedo’s name affects their success? Also, I wish they released more non love songs. Those are some of my favorites. Love songs are fine if you’re actually in a relationship but to me it feels like karaoke otherwise. It’s weird cause i only have these high expectations/ feelings towards self produced artists.
well.. there are senior groups with "unique" name yet they are very successful so.. im not sure if the name "BOYNEXTDOOR" affect their success that much. i do agree that it would be nice to have more non-love songs, but i personally still genuinely enjoy them even though im not in a romantic relationship rn and i may not relate to the experiences in the songs anymore, but i still listening to them anyway (maybe bcs im more of a melody person rather than lyrics person). it might because of the language barrier, but if you understand korean, their love songs are uniquely them like very bonekdo-coded. i dont think your expectations are weird, but i think it's all about time. i think bonekdo has strong potential as a self-produced group, especially coming from a foundation built by a successful self-producing artist. their experience will build up over time, and that is something worth looking forward to.
and who knows, maybe their upcoming full album will answer all your expectations 😉

hello soo, i wanted to ask about the recent variety show jh went to, they said the house rules banned dating but i was confused about whether they meant the dorms or the variety show, as some variety show have a "house" concept, i'm guessing the dorms but i wanted to make sure cuz the translation i saw confused me a little bit and i didn't have the chance to watch the whole thing yet

im so sorry anon i just opened my alterspring..... 😣 it is not woonhak’s haidilao sauce, op actually made it herself. the tweet blew up because of the funny comment her friend made about the sauce.

1 ladle of peanut sauce
1 heaping spoon of mala chili oil sauce
1 heaping spoon of spicy beef sauce
2 or 3 spoon of chili oil

it’s scary and sad how this fandom turned out, especially seeing fanbase/protect accounts take on roles that feel bigger than just being fans. i get that the intention is to protect and promote boynextdoor, but the way things are being handled lately feels uncomfortable and overwhelming.
also, there are so many fanbase accounts being made without equal support for all members, and it’s starting to feel unbalanced. when accounts present themselves like official or authoritative sources but don’t maintain fairness or consistency, it comes off as unprofessional.
or maybe i just miss the space we had before. it felt lighter and more genuine, and i think this shift is part of why we’ve lost so many onedoors already.
i’m not trying to attack anyone, just hoping there can be more awareness and care in how these spaces are handled. it should feel safe and enjoyable, not controlled or stressful.
i'm not sure i fully agree with everything you mentioned, but i do understand where you are coming from.
sometimes i also feel like there is a lack of a real sense of community in this fandom space. even when i try to just focus on the good parts, that feeling still comes and goes. if it weren't for the boys, i think i wouldve already closed this account by now.
lately ive been wondering whether it's really the fandom that's changed, or if i'm the one who is slowly outgrowing this space. either way, i just hope things can get better, and that this space can feel a bit more bearable for those who choose to stay.
