i wouldn't necessarily say there are ships i Dislike, but rather ships that i just? don't pay attention to? also, as both a writer and a reader, the things i look to write are sometimes very different than what i want to read. i LOVE writing minlix and i probably have like 3-4 minlix wips, but i rarely read them! and the opposite for hyunsung- i hardly write them but i read them quite often. this goes for tropes too, for example canon comp- i definitely write that a lot even though i don't read it often.

if i don't engage with a ship, chances are i just don't understand it quite yet. changjin is one of them- i love changbin to death but i CANNOT figure out his "voice" if that makes sense. it's very difficult to get inside his head for me, which is why i avoid writing his ships (oops). i've been slowly reading them though, my little wives... they're SO CUTE i need to die about it...

other times, i don't really engage with ships if i don't like a common dynamic that appears in their fics (chanlix) (i am so sorry but i cannot get behind daddy kink. i tried. i really did. can't do it). but chanlix is slowly growing on me as long as there's no smut hahahaha. for them i really like thinking about tragedy and messy relationships etc. they're such a doomed yaoi pairing... so delicious...

tldr: i don't hate ships i just have ones that i have to do more research on before i start looking at them. i also have ones where i dislike the common tropes that are associated with them. #the multishipper life
