jake + chaehyun were at first just my visualship because everything on jake's face is soo sharp and chaehyun is the roundest girl alive & in a way both of them fit very nicely into the girl/boy next door archetype. chaehyun is a sweetheart but she has a v strong & honest personality (i rmr her saying that she would rather be the one proposing instead of being proposed to because she only trusts herself to do it perfectly LOL) that i feel like would easily fluster nerdy shyboy jake who never deals with his emotions ever. he cant handle all of that!! in my mind theyre very childhood friends/family friends trope who live in the same neighborhood & grew apart as they grew up but still get begrudgingly shoved together at family functions and even if they pretend otherwise theyre always remained firmly in each other's orbit

the best way i can explain heeseung & yeji is batman and catwoman. not in the sense that i want them AS batcat but just in terms of their dynamic. i feel like in canon idolverse they have some sort of playful yet deadly serious on again/off again situationship going on. probably with very good hookups which is why heeseung keeps trying to lure her to his producer studio and write songs about her cat eyes

as for evil jaywonhoon i always think about them in terms of a non-idol au. doing what? i don't even know. though i feel strongly that this ot3 works best if there are no pre-established couples and theyre all getting together at the same time. wy & sh are very similar to me in their neurotic perfectionism and the way jay lives his life so openly would probably fascinate them and draw them in like a moth to a flame

as for your ideas i freaking LOOOVE the idea of a jay/ningning/jake ot3 omg. i know that jay/ningning is one of the govt assigned aenha pairings and honestly? that one never really moved me im sorryyy but adding jake to the picture just made me jump out of my chair. and the we got married jayhoon + soeun au? HELLOO soeun was my favorite in weeekly she's so lovely and thats such a fun premise for a fic. if you ever get the urge to pick that wip back up just know that i would be there no matter what. sunghoon & isa feel like a really complimentary pair i can definitely see the vision there. and i was thinking the same about riki needing a noona (heeseung too... does he remember that we all saw him act like that around hyeri?) but i wasn't quite sure who. when cherry bullet was still a thing i used to crackship riki with may LMAO. she's born in 2004 so she is technically qualified to be the Noona we're looking for but mostly i just thought he would look good with a similarly long-legged partner. heeseung/yunjin and yunjin/jay are both so good too and almost for the same reasons... the potential for band/singer aus are endless (not to be greedy because we've already discussed so many ot3s but i am putting heeseung/yunjin/jay throuple propaganda into the air)

jungwon was also weirdly hard for me to place in a hetship for no reason like i was thinking about it when i wrote my initial post but i came up blank? its not good because hes extremely Boy in a way that lends itself perfectly to creating m/f dynamic thats actually interesting. maybe we just need to hit an enha member with a genderswap beam to find him a gf

i would love it if you made a compilation of enha hetfic!! out of the ones you mentioned i've only read the heewinter and a handful of jangkkus i cant believe there's sm others that i've missed omo. but yessss i enjoyed having someone to discuss this with so much and i hope more women that aren't y/n (no shade to gf stans but they need to keep that on tumblr) infiltrate the enha tag soon whether its m/f or f/f or anything in between 🙂‍↕️
