HAPPY LATE 2026! how did you enjoy canto ix?
happy late 2026 to you as well, nonnie! i am absolutely devastated, i spent the entire day loudly sobbing on and off when we got part 3 a few days ago. there have been many points in prior cantos that emotionally moved me or got me to start choking up, this one had me descend into full-on crying.
...anyways little araya is adorable, and i am crushed that none of us could protect that little sweetheart's precious smile.
i want salt from hermine. what's your scp notp
the cloooosest thing i can think of is glass/diogenes? though it's not really a notp—a pairing i viscerally hate—it's more... "ehhh, this isn't doing it for me that much." also, i feel like the handful of nsfw material for it tends to portray glass as the more submissive partner or the bottom, and i'm not a big fan of that with glass.
generally, i have less notps for scp and more "i actually like these pairings in terms of how they're portrayed or have subtext in canon, but i strongly dislike a lot of fanon portrayals of them." however! for courtesy's sake, my lips are sealed regarding the specifics. i am here to enjoy myself and indulge in preparing food i would enjoy, not rudely criticize a chef making meals clearly for others with different tastes than me.
...that said i feel a visceral reaction of disgust towards any sort of fan material where bright sticks his dick in people. i do not like top!bright regardless of who he is paired up with in terms of gender, dynamic, or anything else. i'm not sure why, but it's a squick that i go out of my way to avoid. same goes for bottom!glass—i don't like it, even if i can't explain my reasoning behind it.
What songs do you associate w Glassbright?
oooo! what a fun question, nonnie. i have a whole playlist that's gone dormant (i no longer use spotify due to... a myriad of issues with its practices) but if i can remember my playlist correctly, here's what i have:
—back to you (milkychan)
—on and on and on (wilco)
—a turtle's heart (mili)
—de selby part 2 (hozier)
—into the night (yoasobi)
—wait for me (from hadestown)
—will you still love me tomorrow (specifically the version sung by the shirelles)
hi, i came across your scp fics by accident and i think im in love with your writing style… it is so ridiculously expressive it feels like im the characters shoes and going through the same problems end emotions as them, and i think this is really impressive. i also really like the references to classical books and other things, even though i often don’t get them, because it shows your love for them and i find it really sweet (note: at least i got the little prince reference in “a turtle’s heart”. i was losing it when i saw it, i love this book so much!! also glad you like mili, great music taste)
i havent read your more explicit works because im a bit of a weakling (sorry…) but i just wanted to say that you are very skilled and makes me want to start writing fics too. my favorite fics are “seven sermons to the dead” and “i dream of human wholeness”. seven sermons to the dead specifically broke my heart and blew my mind, i loved it. i really want to see what will happen to bright and glass in the future, (but dont feel pressured to write about it, if you leave it like that, its already good enough!)
anyways, thats the end of this text wall. thanks for the interesting fics and i hope you have a good year!
anon, from the bottom of my heart: thank you. i write to try and convey as raw emotions as i possibly can—i'm so glad that you can connect with my work, this is really high praise. i weave in a lot of classic literature references because that's a big part of how i write and approach fiction, and because i feel like a lot of the themes connect to the specific characters in my writing. (and i'm glad to find someone who both loves "the little prince" and mili's discography as a whole!)
don't feel pressured to read any of my more explicit material—everyone has a different threshold for extreme or dark themes in fiction, especially if writers like me portray them in graphic detail. it's good that you've set these boundaries and take care of yourself. if you write your own fics: please, do share them on ao3! i'd love to read what you come up with. i'm glad you're so fond of "seven sermons to the dead", because that's probably one of my favorite works i've written in 2025. additionally: you're in luck! i'm working on a sequel oneshot following glass and bright's relationship post-"seven sermons" right now. it'll be my first fic of the year.
thank YOU for saying such sweet things about my work. i hope that 2026 is kind to you, nonnie.
What's your favorite Ryoshu ID?
just wanted to say i love ur fics. keep up the good work.
do you wear glasses?
Top 5 movies?
i need to update my neocities page about that, lmaooooo. most of these are horror movies except for the one kurosawa film.
honestly everything else tends to shift/change, but martyrs by pascal laugier will forever be my number one. it holds a very special place in my heart and played a notable impact in my development as a writer.
what kind of music do you like?
three categories of music i listen to consistently.
i think i listen to more stuff than that, but this is what i tend to listen to most frequently :P
