i think i'd choose being loved… because loving someone can be beautiful, but it can also be exhausting when it's not returned the same way. being loved feels different, it feels safe... like someone is choosing you even on your quietest, most unnoticeable days. it's not about needing attention, but about knowing you matter without having to prove it.
