Hi I’m really enjoying (and am haunted by) the sun never came. ❤️ I can’t explain it but the atmosphere and the pacing just feels perfect. Your writing is beautiful but at the same time raw if that makes sense? Like especially with Minhos POV. (Also I did not get Rick rolled in the big 2026?!!!!)

This whole message is so lovely and nice but the last part is what made me feel the proudest HAHAHA

I actually just decided to start adding that to my normal links, and I honestly didn't know how long it would take for anyone to notice, and I'm so so so glad you told me that it worked on you. Like that actually just made my whole entire week!

Anyway - BACK TO BUSINESS - thank you!! I've always felt like atmosphere wasn't really my strong suit, and I had kind of just given up on trying to improve that because I felt I never made any progress, no matter how intentional I was trying to be. It's interesting to see that once I decide to just not focus on it, it seems to be pretty good lol

At this point, I've written a good number of unhinged characters, and usually I always have so much fun with it..... This Minho, though, is impossible to have fun with, and writing through his pov emphasizes that. I really wanted to lean into the creep factor (and there's more of this in ch 4, which is still currently a wip) to make him as sickening and disgusting as possible, and honestlyyyy it has taken a toll on me. I've written abusive relationships and noncon (though usually it's the porn-y kind where the victim ends up enjoying it by the end) before with no problem, but Minsung's dynamic in this is just in a completely different league. Writing this Minho has been so difficult, but I'm relieved to hear that it seems to be paying off. His creepiness, neuroticism, paranoia, self-centeredness - I wanted them all to be present and palpable so his pov could be fascinating. I guess in some ways I think of it as a lite version of a character study

Thanks for your message, I really appreciate it 💙
