Personality tips? Well I'm pretty new to this, but when writing a character I just kind of put myself in that character's shoes. I think about how I would act and feel if I were that character. I kind of do this obsessively to pass the time at work. For creating the character initially just come up with a simple idea. Like a funny bit, or a guy who would piss you off, or something really hot, and work outwards from there.
