Ooh, gothic themes? That sounds so cool and mysterious (just like you, haha)! So what kind of literature books are you usually into then? And since you're a lit major, do you love writing as well?

Thanks, sender. That’s kinda embarrassing being called “cool,” but honestly, I’m not that mysterious once you get to know me better. 🤓

By the way, compared to the classics, I probably prefer modern or postmodern works since they’re not as heavy and don’t take too much effort to read. TMI, I’m currently reading Animal Farm by George Orwell. Still, compared to reading books, I tend to prefer theatrical stuff because you can experience it directly. It feels more alive, and the emotions hit harder.

As for writing, I’m not really the type to be consistent with it right now. Back then, I was pretty good at it because I still had a muse and could turn what I was experiencing into writing. I could also draw inspiration from my feelings. Now that passion is kind of gone, staying consistent just doesn’t work for me anymore. For now, I’d rather focus on writing my thesis. #IZIN

Not really that into classic English literature personally, but since there’s a love for gothic themes, a recommendation would be Dracula by Bram Stoker, published in 1897. There are already plenty of copies available, so the novel can be accessed for free on Google.
