your fics have some of the wittiest humor ive read in a long time. do you just think of this stuff on the fly? it's so good! and the repeat call backs to jokes are just amazing. do you write front to back or skip around? teach me your ways 🙏
omg ur actually gonna make me cry rn. this made me so happy to read bc I just recently started trying to write!! and im not all that confident in my writing yet, so I tend to procrastinate a lot 😅 bc of this i dont think ill be signing up for anymore fests until I really take some time to figure out my process so there's less pressure. I have tried writing separate scenes and later piecing them together, but it really is a lot easier for me personally to write chronologically!! honestly most of my process is just sitting there and thinking before I go to sleep. I've tried writing drafts and outlines, but I prefer to keep a document of a bunch of simple notes for things I want to make sure I'll remember. some notes are just one word I want to use, a single line someone should say, or a scene description as simple as "chan's case 143 tank top." it might not make any sense on its own, but i know that means I want to write a scene that includes the tank top and jisung being misunderstood bc of it. when im going thru my notes and see something simple like that, its a lot easier for me to tackle than a detailed outline if that makes sense!! everyone has a different process that works for them, and it's a little counterintuitive bc i haven't rlly followed my own advice until recently, but the best thing u can do for urself is to just write!! the more u do, the easier it will be to figure out what works for u and what doesn't!
