OH wow i love these types of questions it really makes me think hard abt them. i'd say it's a variety of things amalgamated into each other. i've been writing for a long time, fic or otherwise, and so i have a big archive of just... words and phrases that i put tgt over the years that i never released to the public. sometimes certain parts of my stories will come from those, and if the phrase is particularly good i might even edit it and tweak it to fit into the fic :> basically a lot of different art that i consume inspires my fics. sometimes i read the blurb of books and then write what i think wld happen if my fandom characters were put in a potential situation like that (without reading the actual book itself, to make sure i'm not relying on someone else's thoughts).
poetry and songs are also pretty big sources of inspiration. it doesn't even have to be lyrics, just the song itself can evoke something in my imagination. like recently i've been thinking of sleeping at last's saturn with its not-haunting yet void-like feeling and florence and the machine's free when she sings "to exist in the face of suffering and death and somehow still keep singing" i think it ties well w a fic ive been spinning in my head for months now <33
ofc fanart too is super amazing for this too !! there's a fic i've been working on slowly which was inspired off a fanart i saw on weibo and i CANNOT find it URGH i wish i cld track it down. but yes. consume widely and push your comfort zones. actually it's not just about consuming widely, it's about consuming intentionally. thinking about more than just "what does this make me feel" to "why did the artist choose to make it like this" has sparked more inspiration in me than you'd expect !!

OMG !!! yes i have a list. im super super into journalling and writing and lately ive been enjoying doing it on paper so i have a bunch of stationery that i bought and am sooooo obsessed with:
- stamp hole puncher: this thing punches any paper in the shape of a small stamp. it's perfect for me to fill in the squares of my planner <33 i've js been stamping out posters and adverts that get left in my mail and it's been so much fun
- FOUNTAIN PENS !! i love fountain pens. i had a kakuno fine nib, but i jammed it by accident and now it doesnt flow as smoothly as i'd like, so i got another kakuno but in medium nib, with the most gorgeous red ink with it. sooo smooth and so beautiful. im mesmerised <3 i also have a pen i customised in tokyo w sailor blue ink inside. i'll take a pic of the swatch i did a few days back and u can see how pretty the inks are

on a non stationery front i bought my penguin a lace bandanna :> so rn i tied it as a bonnet but it can also be a bib or a cape. so cute i love giving my stuffies little trinkets :>>>

i assume you mean the food ive been obsessed with lately ?? i've been loving croissants lately like mm i had the butteriest flakiest largest croissant of my life a few weeks ago and it has NOT left my mind. ive been going back to that bakery twice a week since. wait i'll see if i can find any pics ik i put them in my priv for sure but i'll come back and add them here if i rmb
apart frm that ive also been making pork belly udon which is just tsuyu broth udon and pork slices i oven bake. soso yummy i love it but my friends hv been scolding me for its lack of veggies and have been forcing me to eat their veggie dishes alongside it :( free me from veggie hell

i'd like to preface by saying i actually have no fixed opinion and if there's a really really good fic that u think can change my mind on a pairing pls send it my way i'd love to try !! or if u wna discuss why i ship certain ships ask away no offence will be taken as long as you're polite :>>
outside of nik and jju tgt i like kengjju and i can probably be talked into jjujyo if it's a very compelling argument. for nik i can picture him with almost anyone in theory HEJDHD but when it comes to reading i'll read humnik (credits to muse) and kengnik sometimes, though my friends hv been trying to talk me into jyonik... send jyonik fic reccs and i'll think abt it <33
in general i'm more flexible with the maknae+yuma line pairings than i am with the hyung liners

this does remind me of that one fic where jju is a star that falls to earth... i'll link it in the replies later if i can find it. but i do think there's something very fun about non-human jju trying to discover the world because he kind of does that irl !! there's a certain hunger to learn that canon euijoo has that's super fitting here. but yes i think it'd be fun for euijoo and nico to live together, and one day nico comes back and half the living room is just plants and euijoo is sitting in the center. nico also has no idea where euijoo's getting the money for the rent, except one day he realises that people have been hiring him online to be a plant talker and help their plants grow. sounds niche, but somehow he fits it. he becomes the gardener's best friend and is hired to grow plants which i think is super funny given the setting of a cramped student apartment. nico is just like yeah who am i to judge how people earn money, except that one day he comes home to see a tree growing out of their balcony and is like bro. bro please what the fuck who are you ?!

omg this one is fun !! i think as a writer taki's actually one of, if not the most interesting character to play around with. by all accounts there is very little reason that he should be as happy as he is and yet !! he's a ball of sunshine !! and it takes a certain kind of person to be able to do that !! it's really interesting because taki out of everyone is the teamie who i'd believe could do anything at least half decently if he tried. i'd believe that he could be a suck up honours kid but that he'd push himself to such great lengths to get there that it's concerning. meanwhile you have yuma who has always first and foremost stayed true to himself and his beliefs, and if a school subject isnt working for him he'll pivot !! but in an education system that isn't enough !! which is how taki ends up his tutor. i feel like the reason taki would give up is because 1. he's stretched too thin and 2. he can't understand someone who is so willing to just try something else without dumping in all their time and energy into brute forcing through it. yuma would also be frustrated over why taki seemed so inflexible, when in reality they're super alike in their ambitions. i think that might be a fun thing for them to connect on !! and then they can try to do the tutoring thing again but this time try to meet halfway. and yuma doesn't do well in the end, but he improves, and that's enough for him because hey now he scored a taki in the process and that's the biggest win !!
