Flying is always overpriced but I like it better because they have a bunch of cool shit in the airports. I got orange wine, a pack of mints with Barcelona on it & two HUGE bars of turron when leaving Spain at the Barcelona airport
FLYING i can't drive so road trips inherently mean i'm stuck in the car with people for a long time and that is Not Good For Me. i'm actually flying tomorrow its my second flight alone. going to california to spend a week with my wife (and then in a few weeks i fly to NYC to move into my dorm AHHHH !!!)
roadtrips because there's (usually) more to see rather than just clouds and the occasional glimpse of something on the ground (which can sometimes be cool but mostly it isn't...), as well as not having internet on the plane so it's more difficult to entertain myself with fewer games, no youtube or music i don't have downloaded, etc. as well as it being more private being in a car with friends or family rather than with a lot of strangers on a plane which might be disruptive for several hours... but i like the part where i'm at the airport before flying. that's fun. and also getting off the plane and going through the airport at the destination, that's fun too
