why is it that soooo many omegaverse au's with o!min and a!ji always start with "min isn't a typical omega; no one would have thought he would present as an omega" and the reverse for a!ji like i get that it is because of masculine representation for alphas and feminine for omegas but i thought especially stays that write omega min should know that he isn't only the hard masculine type.. idk it's not that deep but i think it is sad that he is still represented as that kinda like it is fictional why can't people in fanfics think he wouldn't be an omega ☠️ both have masculine and feminine characteristics and hobbies and i think if one writes a fic with o!min and a!ji or even the other way around it shouldn't stereotype real world man/woman dynamics. isn't omegaverse especially there to not do that lol

i’m not quite sure what you’re asking me, but if you’re wondering why exactly writers use the mnsvng “unexpected” presentation as their respective subgenders (alpha jsng/omega mnho) i believe it’s because that’s generally how the community views them/reacts to omega mnho and alpha jsng. its unfortunate that so many people are unable to accept the possibility of jsng being an alpha and mnho being an omega , and i think writers use that as a plot point. that in their fics, nobody expected them to present that way, similar to how people in the community won’t accept those subgenders. but despite all of that, their subgenders aligned with their personalities rather than what people expected of them. i agree with you that omegaverse shouldn’t directly represent straight relationship dynamics, and it’s unfortunate when i see it in fics. even then, it’s the author’s choice and if you aren’t a fan with the way an author chooses to write, you don’t have to read. i’m sorry that you feel irritated by this, but most times i’m just grateful that we have omega mnho and alpha jsng fics to begin with
