Cattseye are so odd imo...they already have messy drama thats usually reserved for old 10 year groups but the difference is they barely started. Musically they're so confusing and just putting out anything but ig That's the hybe effect. They Have more drama than songs atp. I remember their fans having superiority complex towards Kpop and its fans bc they think Cattseye are "sisters" with close bond unlike kpop groups and the Fandom are more "progressive" and accepts diversity unlike Kpop stans. But look at how the tables turned now, the fandom is divided between group fans vs man0n solos and all of them has been weird to the melanated girls, lara and manon ππ
i mean Katseye is the perfect case study of hybe doing everything wrong and what happens with survival show groups, what happens when you're not transparent and don't handle a member's hiatus well and just their doubling down on making music that isn't conducive to creating an identity around the group except for creating discourse. a huge number of pop fans will never take them seriously as long as their music continues down the same path too and they clearly have the performance ability to deliver and the personalities to engage people so i hope the music actually gets better. that and hybe's transparency around manon.
