hello famous novelty mug designer nadia nova. is there an important aspect of vn development/design that you think to be oft neglected?
ive never made a mug before. i think people neglect the idea that less can be more. im harping about it constantly but like the idea that comes to peoples mind when even mentioning visual novel is a story that requires one billion fully rendered anime sprites and full voice acting and eight million cgs and all that. all the bells and whistles are nice to have(well idk i guess not voice acting. ive never ever played a single evn where voice acting wasnt a detriment to the experience) but like its so cool to realise thats optional and instead you start from snowcorpse necromancy and if you want to add more then you add more. but the default approach being just a full nvl type game with only photo filtered backgrounds and dova syndrome music is so beautiful i wish everyone understood thats the true baseline
