Are there any VNs without sprites that have stood out to you? I'm trying to hone in on ways to make the lack of imagery less distracting or immersive.

i mean have you read slime feet and snowromancy. idk i think its more like a mental thing. the lack of sprites doesnt make something less immersive or distracting to me so i dont actually know how to respond. if you ask someone who only plays visual novels with sprites youll probs get a real answer. but i do actually think like the approach is kinda wrong like the people who would be distracted by no sprites and have their reading experience ruined by that arent the people you should be worrying about when working on a vn. anyway it all started for me with victim doll and after playing heatwave and talking with death about the mentality of just how little you actually need to tell a meaningful story its been very freeing for me to approach writing with the approach of knowing that literally every singe piece of art is entirely optional be it sprite or cg. making snowromancy i dont think people should even be thinking about the fact that theres no sprites by the time theyre immersed in the story and have managed to get through the first few scenes. you just get used what have been given to you. i cant come up with examples because im too tired but genuinely theres so many vns ive read with jam entries and all that with devs wh didnt add any sprites and its just not a problem in any capacity for me as much as i recognize that if vns did have some faces to imprint on it might be beneficial. but its by no means mandatory or something that gets in the way of immersion
