thank you for the advice, but i don't want to ^^;;

1) i read once that locking your fics discourages AI scalpers from picking you up, and idk how true that is these days but it made sense to me at the time when i started doing it

and more importantly 2) i had an anti-rpf ex-friend who grew "suspicious" of me and tracked down my fics. i don't want to get too deep into it, but i think i genuinely have trauma from the whole thing. i still get kind of paranoid about her re-finding me or something similar happening again, which is why i keep my fics locked and don't share my SNS on ao3. it just makes me feel safer lol

i know i'd likely get more hits or whatever if i unlocked my fics, but i value my comfort more :') fic writing is for me to have fun firstly, and i don't want the anxiety that comes with being unlocked. sorry for any inconvenience though!
