mostly i was wondering the need for both female and male omegas&alphas🤔the lack of trans omegaverse fics is also surprising when there is both primary and subgenders. it could be interesting to explore the 'mismatch' more !
That’s truee! I guess i could accept it as a genetic diversity thing – as in, flexibility and variation in the physical features of a child-bearing individual would have helped the species survive in certain conditions. Although, the right answer of course is that people think it’s hot to see men pregnant and that’s about it 🤣 Also, I’ve definitely seen a fair bit of fics where a character is going through subgender transition, which I reckon is the most compelling route for an a/b/o fic with trans themes. It would be cool to see more, though! I especially love reading fics written by authors who have personal experience on the matter 🥰

tbh i agree omegas like women they represent should be educated and put themselves first before settling down. lack of education goes hand in hand with oppression and we both know why the tradwife trend is concerning not forgetting why choice feminism does more harm than good but maybe im what people call too woke bc i cant ignore this even in fantasy settings XD
Yess, we read fiction through the lens of our own experiences, and that’s why the parallels a/b/o draws are so interesting. But while JK’s decisions may be hard to understand strictly from that perspective, he’s not an innocent lamb led to slaughter, and he doesn’t even give up his career in the fic, nor does NJ intend to make him an oppressed tradwife. The point is that JK can have what he biologically craves and not feel guilty about it!

Without spoiling the fic too much, JK is struggling because yes, society expects him to be docile, but modern omegas are /also/ expected to be educated and career-driven, at least until it’s time to start a family. Omegas are also supposed to “resist” the affections of typical, dominant alphas because throwing oneself at an alpha would make you a whore. By desiring NJ and asking to be dominated by him, JK is no longer the picture perfect, innocent omega.

i know it's fiction but still i can't help but wonder what drove four(+) different sexes in omegaverse to evolve when barely two is needed to reproduce and keep the species alive🤔fascinating stuff
Maybe omegas would have evolved to be more fertile and able to safely carry more offspring than humans irl, while betas would have evolved as a subgender whose job is to manage and care for the omegas when they’re in vulnerable states (pregnant or nursing or in heat 👀). And other subgenders (like enigmas) would be adaptations/mutations which would have evolved during scarcity of a certain subgender!! Interesting stuff indeed!

Ahh ty for asking!! The fic is on hiatus but definitely not abandoned 💕 EC is such a plot-heavy story that writing it takes up a lot of brainspace (which I have very little of during the school year). But it’s fully outlined and only missing the final plot arc, so I’m optimistic about finishing it 🥰

i understand the appeal tho to me it hits too close to home particularly how men prey on younger ppl irl but thats my own problem to work on. its not a bad suggestion to write my version of the trope maybe i could find ppl who relate if i dont get called a weirdo or a femcel first lolol
