what are your top 5 prose/poems! ><
im going to disappoint you so much when i say i dont really have any good examples of this >< i can't think of any book that has writing in it that the writing itself stood out to me, since i tend to judge the writing and the content together and prose has never particularly mattered to me when i read bc i start getting sucked in and seeing "movies" in my head of the stories anyway, not words or sentences ,,, sorry ><
also,,,,im finding i dont like poetry as much as i thought,,, or at least not poems that i feel are really only meant to be poetry or intentionally abstract...but i do like a poetry collection from cynthia guardado called "cenizas" ! i like spoken word poetry most i think. i don't feel as connected to poems or like i understand them unless i am hearing them from the writer themself. i'm too literal of a thinker/person to read poems and be able to appreciate them fully, i think >< it frustrates me to know there's probably more to a poem than i get at face value
