ppl are already losing interest in kpop, and this trend will continue in the future, the main markets for kpop will revert to Asia, just like it used to be. That's why 5th-gen groups are all targeting those countries; companies are already anticipating this shift. kpop is on a decline from now on

I don’t think it’s necessarily on a decline it’s just slowly reverting back to what it was pre pandemic. I think it’s in a similar space as anime. It absolutely has its audience here and maybe there will be a few breakout groups / songs but I do think we’re past the peak of expansion

since smnbg is debuting soon do you think they will focus on them more than nct wish and riize?

I mean yeah that’s been SM’s MO for years. Rookie groups get a lot of attention until they solidify a fanbase then SM moves on to the next. I wonder what center they’ll be under.

I don’t think they’re done investing in either group just yet though. Wish is very busy this year

do you think h2h can be popular in the west?

Among kpop fans? I can see them building a pretty solid fanbase if SM puts in the work.

In general though western kpop fans tend to like the sexier / edgier ggs (Blackpink, katseye, aespa, lsfm) an outlier I’d say would be twice but I’d say they’re less cute and toe the line of being sexy as they’ve matured
