"hearing someone who once loved you carefully turn you back into everybody else" hit me like an 18 wheeler...realising you no longer occupy a meaningful space - good or bad - in another person's head is genuinely sobering, i get why some people would rather be hated by someone they love/loved if the alternative is to be forgotten
