just so you know hazbin hotel does have a lot of controversies especially relating to the creator being an incredibly shitty person. there were a bunch of threads circulating at some point but it’s been a few years since i last saw one. so a lot of people’s negative reactions are due to how problematic the show/creator is, rather than just finding it cringe. a lot of the creator’s fans who enjoy their shows are also really shitty people from experience. so that’s why a lot of people wouldn’t react positively to someone being a fan of the show. but i know you don’t have negative intentions and are just trying to be respectful of an idol’s interests!! some of the comments definitely are going too far and some are likely coming from people who Do just find it cringe though :)
oh, I'll be honest, I wasn't aware of the controversies at the time of posting but found out about a few afterwards so yeah, I understand it a bit better now! I don't think we need to bash idols over the media they enjoy/consume (as they very well may not be aware of the context either, just like I wasn't), but it would be helpful if anyone gave him a reason as to why he should look into it more, instead of just leaving snarky comments. thank you for letting me know all this, anon 🩷🩷
