how important is your language to you? not just, but your vocabulary? do you feel like you use your language well (not in some sense of honouring it, per se, but to express yourself)?
Language is something that I've always been insecure about, especially as an autistic person, because I know I can come off as either too childish and stupid or too rude and pretentious. My tone fails to match with how I feel sometimes and it is very embarrassing. I'd like to better conduct myself in this way but, uhm, unfortunately I am stricken by.. terrible anxiety to do anything about it.. I try to expand my vocabulary and such too, but am ever discouraged by the sheer amount of people whooooo kind of lowkey need to go back to the second grade maybe.. The type of people who would shiver in fear at a word as small as "stupendous".
It is okay tho becauuseee... I have this awesome guy named Callie, who is my friend, and he likes that sort of stuff and it's like,. well. If I get good at it then Callie could notice and then he could appreciate what many others cannot. Anyways. I try to be better at Language based things..
