It's beyond sad to see minors on rentry put DoL all over their stuff... the biggest problem I've seen is that "Oh, but other people do it, even with worse games, so it should be fine for me to do it!" and I think older people forget how easily impressionable kids are too... they'll copy anything they see on rentry with no second thoughts, I've seen it with my own two eyes 👁️
Err sorry for the rant in your inbox, I saw the topic come up. But I guess this somewhat applies to what Avery is doing? I don't think its exactly healthy... but as you said, you can't really stop him. Stay safe
No need to apologize! Anyone is allowed to say anything here as long as they remain civil :) even if it wasn't related to me and/or Avery.
But yes, I do get your point. I also have seen lot of kids trying to become like "the cool people" on Rentry (coughs coughs) since they look up to them. I'm aware Avery had started doing this long ago and as I said before, I would have adviced him against doing that if I knew him back then. If people started exploring these things at a bigger age, I wouldn't be against it since they would have known better, but I see some as young as 13 who brag about being into games with dark themes and it's just... ough, shivers.
To be honest, I would say the internet isn't "kid friendly" anymore. Lot of groomers around, NSFW media being put in display, minors lying about their ages to invade adult spaces, ETC. It's a sad thing that stuff had to get worse than years ago. You'd think that with new age verifications, the internet would be "safer", instead it had quite the opposite effect.
